Liasing with process eng, equip. eng., managers and external customers to ensure both production and R&D processes could be both setup and ran in a timely manner to meet demands set out by higher management.Working within a clean room environment.Setting up of GaAs processes on MOCVD reactors.Setting up recipes/runs on MOCVD reactors by use of CACE.Process Prime for 2 Aixtron Generation 3 III/V 2600 MOCVD reactors.Perform characterisation and validating products grown in MOCVD reactors through the use of multiple techniques.Creation of own excel databases for processes that i am responsible for.Acted as managers epitaxial representative for scrap/yield meetings to discuss with managers and follow up scrap actions in continually improving processes to reduce wafer loss in the department.Involved in multiple continuous improvement groups throughout the whole of the fab such as:ILMZ cycle times improvement team (Leader)Breakages and handling improvement team.Other Responsibilities:Worked in other departments helping improve throughput and moving production and R&D out of the line. Backup process prime for die fab and scribe/break operations.Yield Coordination as a group for the whole site, creating presentations on a weekly basis, with analysis and record keeping, setting up scrap procedures and data hauling activities for management and OPS reviews (Co-Leader).Achievements:Self taught use of VBA macros for data hauling, chart creation, scheduling guides, data logging and analysis routines.Gained recognition from managers for my hard work, gained rewards via a merit system (Stars) that ran for 6 months in 2011. Multiple shooting star awards for general attitude towards the company goals for other departments as well as the epitaxial department and achieving targets. Rising star award for going above and beyond the targets set out for the company on product builds. Awards gained in April and July of 2011.

Liasing with management, process and equipment engineers in and out of the epitaxy area to provide effective throughput on tools (Aixtron III/V MOCVD Reactors) for both InP and GaAs production and R&D.Calibrating, operating, modifying and setting up recipes/runs on the MOCVD reactors by use of CACE (Computer aided controlled equipment) involved in the manufacture of semiconductor photonic devices.Working within a Clean room Lab environment under strict GMP and GLP guidelines.Assisting with both audits and stocktake on a regular basis.Preparing substrate wafers for epitaxial growth via the use of chemical preparations such as HF, HCl, MeOH, Br2, HNO3, H2SO4.Maintaining and monitoring reactor integrity via CACE and checklists to ensure equipment and process is not altered.Perform characterisation and validating products grown in MOCVD reactors against the specification through the use of polaron, photoluminescence, X-ray diffraction and Surfscan (Defect analysing equipment) as well as chemical etching.Recording of results in a Microsoft Access database and excel databases.Holding handover meetings between shifts to help ensure company demands were met.Achievements:Recognition from the manager as to my hard work within and out of the epitaxy department.
