SCG - Structural Observations - Performed structural observations of reinforcing steel structures prior to concrete being pour. Chevron - NAGREP - Performed gas dispersion modeling using for a maintenance and emergency blow down operation of PG&E's DFM pipeline. Summarized data into an easy to read report and created exhibits depicted the heat flux contours. Chevron - Lost Hills Compressor Station Project and SJV Fuel System Technology Progression Program, Shell Carson Terminal Metering Station Recommissioning Project Plains All American Pipeline - Assisted Principal with pipe stress analysis, Caesar II.SoCal Gas - PSEP - Valve Automation, Power, and Control Upgrades, Line 2000, 2001, & 2051 5000, Blythe Area. Dudek - CPUC – Central Valley NG Storage – Developed spreadsheet with traffic counts and identified the length of line that impacts vehicle occupants along road ways. Analyzied impact lengths on commercial and residential land uses.Plains Exploration - Well Bore Log Study – Coordinated, reviewed, and supported data gathering, database production, and creation of structural sketches, to facilitate the investigation of well bores and to check for DOGGR code compliance.

During my last two years as a college undergrad, I held an internship with Caltrans at its Carmel Valley/Carmel Mountain Rd. construction office. Here I assisted the Resident Engineer, Office Engineer, and Field Engineers during 5/805 Interchange Project. Some of the tasks I completed were, but not limited to: constructing spreadsheets for CCO cost analysis reports, the project drainage system items payable, and project submittal status; filling out forms for the end of project item adjustments and punch lists; analyzing plans for quantity takeoffs, and putting together a flow chart for future project organization. I gained field experience by shadowing the field engineer(s) during concrete pours, inlet inspections, and roadway quantity takeoffs. I was also given the opportunity to assisted the Geotechnical Engineer with batch sampling during AC placement/concrete pours and observed nuclear gauge compaction testing. I participate in the closing job procedures: punch lists, item closeouts, and auditing process, and most importantly observed how a job is run from Start to Finish.

Learned to grill a tasty steak and perfect chicken thigh. Discovered the secret ingredients to the best guacamole in town. Practiced the skill of multitasking in order to get all the ingredients to the line in time for customers. Mastered the knife, cutting of meet, veggies, and herbs. Occasionally worked the line and managed the register, etc., however all the fun happens behind the scenes.
