Manage the integration of Green Star SA sustainability principals into new builds (The Ridge).

My roles and responsibilities were as follows:• Assisted with the sourcing and presentation of new and potential developments to management;• Assisted with feasibility studies: - Technical analysis; - Market research and analysis; - Financial analysis; - Risk analysis.• Input into design and costing of buildings;• Key role in raising development finances, and ownership transfers;• Collating marketing materials with presentations to investors/buyers;• Preparation of tender documents and negotiating appointments; • Project management of the development, from pre-construction to post-construction, and flow of all relevant information between stakeholders;• Managing budget VS actuals Projects that I worked on and completed at Gorrie Properties:• Enterprise Park: R 50 million (€ 3.1 million) This industrial development comprised of 14 sectional title multi-purpose units, approximately 350m² each, on a 7 600m² greenfield site;• Student Housing and Shopping Centre: R320 million (€ 19.7 million)The student housing development consisted of 1 286 fully furnished bedrooms (with communal areas, kitchens, etc.), within 4 of, 3 story buildings. The adjacent 5 110m² shopping centre consisted of 24 finished shops. These adjoining sites were greenfield sites.

My Roles & Responsibilities • Strategically advised clients on ways to accomplish their sustainability ambitions, supporting them to make the best value decisions;• Initiate projects with clients, coordinate stakeholder input and gain the necessary approvals within the client’s organization;• Deliver, manage, report on and problem solve sustainability designs, ambitions and progress, from pre-design through to construction completion, with all members of the team, including the main contactor;• Attended site visits to review progress against sustainability targets;• Assisted with pitches and tenders• Compile Green Star SA certifications to the Green Building Council of SA for assessmentProjects I Completed• Portside Tower (34 stories, 68 940m²).
