General Responsibilities• Provide direction to technical service team and ensure compliance to organization’s configuration management, qualification engineering, and other operating procedures and processes.• Achieve On Time Delivery (OTD) of projects, inquiries, and other time sensitive deliverables.• Utilize and foster use of Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to improve processes, productivity, and employee engagement.• Ensure team produces high quality outputs and continuously acts with integrity.• Develop both internal and external partners to assist and supplement systems engineering team, as necessary.Lead Design Approval Authority and Compliance• Manage the maintenance of Pall Aerospace global design approval authority procedures and handbooks for CAA Part 21 Subpart J, and for FAA parts manufacture approval (PMA).• Manage the continued development and facilitate the identification and selection of Designated Engineering Representative (DER) and Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) representatives.• Develop process and standard work for REACh/RoHS/Disposal requirements and stay abreast of regulatory changesLead Qualification Services• Develop and release Qualification Test Procedures (QTP) and compile test results into Qualification Test Reports(QTR) for submittal to customer.Lead Systems Engineering Services• Develop process for CFD, stress analysis and reliability support for product lines. • Develop robust standard work that can be used globally and incorporates best practices.• Ensure high quality technical reports for internal or external customer.• Deliver a Systems based approach to new product development throughout the product lifecycle, by providing support from early-stage concept thinking, through requirement definition, system analysis and modelling, though to integration, verification, validation, and qualification.

- Manage manufacturing engineering team across multiple sites to ensure tooling capacity and uptime are capable of meeting continuously increasing customer demand.- Build a manufacturing-oriented culture across multiple business units to align performance to KPI's and increase manufacturing efficiency- Design and implement a cross-functional project process to better engage individual process owners earlier in the project cycle and improve project milestone fidelity- Lead the manufacturing project engineering team through equipment specification, line-sizing analysis, and process documentation to ensure smooth transition to production team post-launch- Lead the career development of direct reports through targeted developmental training and regular individual meetings to prevent turnover and retain key talent- Ownership of in-house production line capacity. Either directly or through staff, manage the development, implementation and maintenance of methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture of sub-assemblies and final assemblies- Support or lead efforts for all product development project phases from concept, specification, cost justification, project management, installation, training qualification/validation and implementation into manufacturing- As allowed by conditions, travel to key suppliers and contract manufacturers to help them carry out critical evaluations, line bring-up or process improvement projects- Interface with Product Engineering in coordinating the release of new products and assigning Mfg Engineering resources to various development teams. Provide guidance to new product design teams in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) requirements and techniques- Create project proposals for manufacturing improvements to support capacity and COGS requirements. Prepare complete analysis of technical requirements, timelines and costs to communicate to executive leadership and gain approval

- Maintain and improve existing manufacturing tooling in automated, semi-automated, and manual lines to meet growing customer demand.- Identify need for new tooling or areas for growth and develop corresponding business cases to support tooling investment decisions.- Lead tooling specification and procurement for new projects for new customers and product designs- Implement a regimented project process to improve launch for new products and tooling on the manufacturing floor.

* Utilize finite element analysis to simulate the assembly process for future model year vehicles and determine if variation stack-up due to individual part variation and forces induced by flexing/joining parts creates satisfactory assemblies.* Identify assembly process or design improvements through interpretation of simulation outputs.* Coordinate with product development and quality teams to resolve concerns with new product design/assembly processes.* Investigate non-nominal centered simulation of critical to customer satisfaction parts throughout the vehicle.

* Work with additive technology suppliers to develop automotive grade additive materials for use in automotive parts* Develop sample geometries and test procedures to fully quantify additive materials parameters* Provide manufacturing process insight into materials development and testing processes to ensure compliance with automotive facilities and customer acceptance* Trial prototype technologies for additive developers and provide feedback to improve the product and processes
