Developed a system to calibrate range-finding sensors on a robot. The software controlling the robot and sensors captured images of a well-known target and generated a set of Homogeneous transforms which mapped robot coordinate space to the coordinate space of each of the sensors. These transforms allowed the point cloud captured by the sensors to be collected in a common coordinate space. (see related publication below)Developed software to remotely control a robot with a computer over a wireless network. The primary sensor of the robot was a set of six CCD sensors that produced a spherical image using a onboard software. The spherical images were transmitted over the wireless network in real-time providing the robot operator with an immersive view of the robot's surroundings as the robot was driven.

Developed a real-time algorithm to detect the location of negative obstacles (ditches, trenches, holes) in natural terrain from a 3d point generated from a LIDAR sensor. Negative obstacle locations were fed to an autonomous robot to be used by a path planner. (See related publication below)
