While I worked at Amerequip, I worked with their senior design engineer on the development of two new genertions of their compact tractor backhoes. One of these backhoes accounts for the majority of the company's sales. These backhoes were both designed for John Deere. My typical day consisted of the design of piece parts and weldments on CAD software, organizing the prototype builds, and working with shop personal. Also, I was involved in customer project meetings. I obtained a basic knowledge in welding, forming, laser steel cutting, and machining processes. I was also involved in hydraulic testing.
