Good day, and thank you for viewing my profile.I am currently the laboratory manager for Erie International Group (Painesville, OH). Our team focuses on the day-to-day analysis and quality assurance of crude, inter-process, and completed fatty acid and glycerin products. Ensuring customer specifications are met through continuous QA and QC are integral parts to our rolls here. We use all types of analyses outlined by AOCS, ASTM, and USP including, but not limited to, instrumental methods GC-FID, GC-MS, ICP-OES, IR, and UV-vis.Graduate of John Carroll University (University Heights, OH). I studied chemistry for all four years and hold a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry. While earning my concentration in biochemistry, I focused more on my chemistry education so that I have taken pertinent courses such as instrumental analysis and inorganic chemistry. I have 2.5 years of academic research experience under Dr. M. Waner in thermal decomposition of streptavidin by DSC. Finally, I was a TA for organic chemistry for two years, having been head TA my second year.I previously interned at the Lubrizol Corporation in Wickliffe, Ohio, in the Component Science/Chemical Synthesis department. I worked on the synthesis of a novel bio-renewable alkylbenzene replacement for a dispersant using everyday synthetic set-ups and procedures. This also entailed some work in the polymerization of other bio-renewable feeds for the synthesis of an aliphatic backbone replacement for another high molecular weight dispersant. Interpretation of NMR, GC-MS, GPC, HPLC, IR, and UV-vis spectra were an integral part to the analysis of synthesized products.
