Integral in the completion of the genome sequences for chicken, chimpanzee, orangutan, maize and human for the Pre-Finish group. Specialized in re-sequencing problem areas of the genomes while under strict time dead-lines. Experimented with different brew additions and pioneered new sequence procedures to maximize read-length. Active in every portion of sequencing process. Operated Multiprobe picking machine, Biomek aspiration device, photon spectrometer, and utilized successfully many laboratory techniques. Served as group leader and instructed new members of group in policy and methods of procedure.

Assisted in the survey of publicly held forested lands; maintained and set up equipment, including computerized transit, front and back sights and installed land-marking pins.
