Hi my name is Nicholas Stanley and I am passionate about physical activity and sports in particular. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. My end goal is to become a sports physiotherapist working with professional athletes, assisting them in recovery and prevention of injuries. I have acquired many transferable skills in my life that will apply in the workforce including:Time Management: Time management skills are essential in any part of life, however they are especially important in tertiary education and entering into a the highly competitive workforce of Physiotherapy. This skill is something that I have utilised since exiting high school to maintain excellent grades in university during full time study while keeping myself physically fit and keeping time open for myself or any extra curricular activities. Determined:Determination is extremely vital in a competitive field of education and workforce. Ever since I was young I have been an extremely motivated and determined individual, which can be seen in any part in my life, from my work experience to my experience in sports. This skill will drive me to learn as much as possible in tertiary education and assist my future patients in being the best they can possibly be. Passionate:Passion for what you are doing ensures that you get the best out of yourself possible. Passion has been ingrained in my life since I started participating in competitive sports where passion is required to bring the best out of yourself. I am passionate about physical therapy and particularly this field of work having experienced first-hand the impact that recovery and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries can have in a sports context as well in everyday life.
