Member of research team seeking to create a human explainable artificial intelligence agent. Responsible for creating user interface explanations to allow a non-expert user in artificial intelligence and machine learning to be able to determine if an AI agent is identifying and choosing the correct solution to complex problems. This research project is critical as the growth of AI extends into the public and beyond research labs. AI is largely a black box and not understanding how and why it makes decisions will have real world consequences. Explainable AI is an area that needs to grow alongside AI to justify its purpose and decisions in society. The solution I worked created was visual display of data that the AI received and output and present it to a user in form of a mini-max game tree which would display would help the user decide whether they agreed with the AI’s solution. I also had a unique insight into the challenge’s software design poses to both an end user and developer.
