- Provide technical expertise and real time support for transmission (up to 220kV) substation asset restoration, root cause analysis, failure investigation, incident investigation, and operation and maintenance and repair of underground cable and transmission substation assets.- Investigation of asset performance, risk assessment and develop contingency plans.- Spare management- Perform annual condition assessment of substation and its assets.- Technical leader to other engineers within the team and within the organisation.- Develop and review substation asset maintenance procedure- Provide support to the asset strategy development, work plan, service specification, upgrade and development plans.

Asset management of transmission & distribution overhead and underground asset- Provide technical and analytical support for asset performance trend and root causes analysis.- Apply risk management and life cycle costing principles to recommend the replace, repair, upgrade and disposal of assets.- Develop Asset management plan for vegetation management, overhead and underground transmission & distribution assets.- Develop annual budgets, ten year forecasts and program of work for overhead and underground assets. - Determine optimum inspection frequency and review pole inspection and condemnation criterion.- Develop and initiate condition monitoring program for critical and ageing distribution underground cables.- Develop and initiate special maintenance program to address public safety issues.- Develop business case to perform aerial inspection on pole top assets and using LiDAR technology to identify vegetation encroachment.- Analyse vegetation encroachment data using geographic information system.Replacement of Asset Registry/Work Management System (ArcFM/ArcGIS/Cityworks)- Provide technical advice on the data model requirements. - Provide business and technical rules to automate the data cleansing of existing database before data migration to new asset registry system.- User acceptance testing and business verification testing.- Initiate change request for further efficiency or process improvement for the new system.
