As an Development Engineer, I am primarily responsible for X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy as well as performing and developing measurement methods for wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence. This includes performing measurements and analyzing results. I perform sample preparation, which includes, but is not limited to, cutting samples, polishing samples, and preparing pellets from powdered samples. This position also includes performing experiments and supporting my supervisor as necessary.

As an R&D technician, I operated the time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometer (TOF SIMS) and performed sample preparation as well as developed polishing routines for sample preparation.
