I am an M.D. candidate in the Class of 2025 at Weill Cornell Medicine applying to residency in internal medicine. I conduct global health research at the Weill Cornell Center for Global Health, specifically on the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases and other non-communicable diseases in low- and middle-income countries. From 2023-2024, I was the Warren D Johnson Global Health Research Scholar in Mwanza, Tanzania conducting research on the risk of CVD among people with HIV.Previously, I worked on the Global Burden of Disease project as a research fellow at IHME, conducting global injuries epidemiology research and advancing how clinical data can enhance our understanding of a population's burden and health inequity. Specific projects included estimating the global shortage of blood and global mortality from snakebite envenoming.Tufts Class of 2017 alum, with a BS in Biochemistry and Spanish.University of Washington Class of 2020 MPH in Global Health Metrics and Evaluation.

I analyze raw clinical data from over 50 countries to create population-level disease burden estimates. I also help quantify incidence and mortality rates of 34 different injuries.Projects have included:- Estimating case fatality rates for vaccine-preventable diseases across different countries- Quantifying procedure rates for cancer patients and how they differ globally- Analyzing how blood transfusion rates in the United States have changed over time in 20 different disease categories- Quantifying the global unmet need for blood, and every country's blood excess or shortage -
