I am in my final year as a mechanical engineering student at University of California, Irvine. I have a love for problem solving and learning how the things we see around us everyday work. One of my goals is to make a difference with climate change. In high school, I was a member of the Surfrider club chapter at my school and participate in many beach cleanups to make a difference locally. My main career interest is to work in sustainable energy, I plan to specialize in energy systems engineering and hope to minor in materials science and engineering as well. However, I am fascinated by all things engineering and would look forward to working in any engineering industry.So far as a student at UCI, I have learned valuable skills for engineering. I have acquired fundamental experience using software such as Python, MATLAB, and SOLIDWORKS. In addition to this, I have worked with my fellow classmates on a plethora of group projects and assignments. This has taught me the importance of communication, project planning, and time management to ensure that I stay on top of my work and never let my team down.Through my experience working in a hardware store, I learned the basics of standard hardware and electronics and even helped many customers complete their personal projects. In addition to that, I gained important customer service experience and developed an understanding of how important it is to fulfill the needs of the customer.
