I received my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering May 2019 from UTSA to become the first engineer of my family. My exceptional 3.54 final GPA and abnormal, but excellent, work ethic awarded me my first entry-level job as a Mechanical Engineer with the U.S. Air Force at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) within the 802 Civil Engineering Squadron (CES) as a civilian in a 2-year developmental program known as the PALACE Acquire (PAQ) Program.Upon completion of my two years in this program, I had gained project management experience through the shadowing I conducted with JBSA project managers, as well as developed my education portfolio through trainings offered in the program. Trainings that dived into areas such as HVAC Design analysis, RSMeans (cost estimating tool), and NFPA 13/101/70. Not only did I excel in the program expectations, but I was also awarded engineer of the month in the project management section 2 months in a row for my efforts to close out numerous projects that were "completed" for 5+ years. This endeavor capitalized a total of about $154,032,849.80 for the Air Force in maintenance funding. With the above mentioned, and the development of my interpersonal skills, I was more than prepared once I received a position in the 802d CES Energy/Utility team after my 2-yera program concluded. During my past two years with this team, I have gained a plethora of information in the engineering and contract realm. -I have reviewed as builts in pdf and AutoCAD version, analyzed buildings current HVAC infrastructure, compiled info through Carrier HAP, and engineered solutions for issues present in the design and installment of respective HVAC systems. -I have supported Contracting Office Representatives (CORs) for utility contracts on base, in both overseeing projects as a project manager and making corrective actions for items that were not in accordance with respective contracts. -I have managed a utility reimbursement program that encompassed 22 customers on bases & 132 buildings, as well as analyzed consumption data for natural gas, electric, water, and sewer.
