About Nicholas Markellos
I went to the University of Delaware 1998-2002 and studied European Civilization and Culture. The focus of my studies was developments made in Europe during the transitional period of the Late Middle Ages into the Early Modern World. In 2003, I enrolled in the Graduate Program at Villanova University and began to focus my studies on Intellectual and Cultural History. While at University of Delaware, I minored in Literature and always had an affinity for reading and writing. To that end, my real passion is the connection between literature and the stories that tell history.I started teaching British Literature at Paul VI High School in the Fall of 2004, and since then I have grown into myriad roles at the school. Currently, I teach a Senior World Literature course, as well as AP European History. In addition to teaching, I am also the Director of Academic Technology and I spearheaded the iPad Initiative in 2011. I have since learned to merge my love for learning and teaching into technology and have begun to "flip" my classrooms into a more contemporary milieu.

Distribute iBooks and eBooks to all students using the Casper Suite and KNO for Schools. - Textbook Facilitator: Arrange and produce the book bill for the school year. Call and negotiate prices for textbooks and workbooks, dealing with 5-6 different representatives. Manage a textbook budget between $60,000 - $100,000. - Webmaster – LMS: Introduced, implemented, and created, the Learning Media System (Whipple Hill), including training 70 teachers on the system. Over the summers, I create and schedule courses for the entire school, including building the individual teacher sites and framing out grade-books. In addition to being the platform manager for the system, I am also the data manager and handled the migration of all the historical grades and constituent information.
