Foundry was an art gallery and co-working location in Corvallis, OR. Beyond co-working, Foundry was designed to cultivate collaboration between physical and digital creatives.

TerraSeer helps visualize and analyze complex datasets. We have produced demand models, supply chain management tools, dynamic inventory recommendations, and more all as secure web based interactive applications.As a software engineer for TerraSeer I am focused on the design, development, and implementation of interactive data exploration and visualization tools for our clients. We use whatever tools are needed to achieve the desired outcome. I have implemented sites for clients with mostly open source tools such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, PHP, Javascript, Python, Django, Node, and HTML. My goal is always to create a product that is simple to use without degrading the integrity of the data being explored, and enhancing the user's ability to convert the data to meaningful and useful information.

I began at the InfoGraphics lab at the University of Oregon as a student employee in 2006. This was followed by two years as a graduate research fellow, and 6 months as a full time employee. I held a research faculty position with the Geography department working on occasional ad hoc projects with the highly skilled team of cartographers, analysts, and designers at the InfoGraphics lab.

I began at OSLC in 2000 as an assessor and Specific Affect Coding System coder. As an assessor I interviewed study participants and their families both at the center and in their homes. SPAFF coding involved real time affect coding of videotaped interactions. As a coder I would assign numeric codes to the participants facial cues. In 2002 I became the SPAFF coding team supervisor. This involved continued coding as well as maintaining inter-coder reliability and consistency across time and interactions. I continued as a coding supervisor for SPAFF and other codes through 2005. In 2005 I started a position as project coordinator of the Community Database project. This multi site project involved the coordination of community partners for the development of a community health indicator database. The project also included school interventions and coded observations with participating students and parents.
