New Urban Design recognizes walkable, human-scaled neighborhoods as the building blocks of sustainable communities and regions. Imprint Architects designs buildings and developments that put people ahead of automobiles and encourages interaction between neighbors. Since 2006, our firm has been actively involved in the planning and design of the 1,100 acre Prairie Trail development located in Ankeny, IA. We have also been active in the sustainable design movements in both the commercial and residential markets. Embracing a holistic approach to sustainability in design and construction that goes beyond the national rating systems, we approach design in a way that considers the building as an interconnected whole which is also part of the larger eco-system.
