My central interest is identifying how tissue microenvironments alter immune cell fates, and how these processes can be leveraged therapeutically to improve human health. With over a decade of research experience, I have conducted immunology research in basic, translational, and GCLP settings. I have mastered a number of skills from this experience, including, but not limited to, initiating and navigating clinical collaborations, developing and maintaining repositories of matched clinical samples, leveraging human tissues and animal models, high parameter flow cytometry and downstream analysis, cell sorting, whole-tissue imaging, etc. My research has been recognized by multiple publications and NCI- and NICHD-funded awards.
