Spectrum (Charter Communications) Columbus, OH August 2017 - Current Job Title: Inside Plant Engineer I/II (Full Time 40 Hours) Description:♦ Onsite direct support in relation to assist remote support of all types of network, video, and voice systems♦ Able to work with and provide solutions with remote support of services/products/equipment in collaboration with IT Vendors and Contractors during new projects, build outs, and upgrades♦ Configure systems when required to meet standards to ensure best quality of services are provided to all customers within the Midwest Market Region, estimated 8 million video subscribers; 12 millions internet subscribers; 6 million voice subscribers♦ Provide IT Vendors and Contractors with knowledge about operation of company policies/products/equipment/services/day to day data center operations♦ Ability to work and adapt within an ever changing work environment ♦ Complete daily tasks that range from working with Generators, STS’s, PDUs, AC and DC plants, 3 Phase AC power, Breaker Panels, Fire suppression systems, CRAC units, AC units, Hot aisle and Cold Aisle containment, CFM management within a raised floor environment, installing new equipment in racks, powering up equipment, meeting cabling requirements with both CAT6, Single mode Fiber, Multimode Fiber, working with various Vendors/Providers and multiple ticketing systems
