Creating and submitting G98, G99 & G100 DNO applications on behalf of solar installers.

During my time at Dynamic Energy Solutions I managed the UK sales, working closely with the Managing Director. This involved sourcing new customers throughout the UK who were seeking solar and battery storage for their business premises. The solar and battery storage systems were in the region of 50kw to 1MW. The role also involved managing positive relationships with key customers, suppliers and installers throughout the UK.

Utilising skills I learnt in marketing, business development, and engineering, I created The Off Grid Engineer Ltd. We sold and installed off-grid electrical systems and equipment via an e-commerce website and also to businesses that manufacture garden rooms and shepherd huts. This meant managing a website, marketing campaigns, client accounts, pitching to new businesses as well as physically installing the electrical systems.

After several years in account management and business development, I decided to broaden my skill-set as an engineer. I enrolled as a trainee field service engineer for Philips. The traineeship included an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering Maintenance (Servicing Medical Systems) and BTEC Level 3 in Engineering. At my time at Philips the modalities I focused on were ultrasound and MRI.

I managed and implemented all eCommerce & digital marketing activity for Montane. My responsibilities ranged from SEO, PPC, social advertising, email marketing and website maintenance & management. Before joining Montane, the brand never had an eCommerce website and engaged in very little digital activity. Now all digital channels and website performance have dramatically increased.

My main roles and responsibilities were managing 16 client digital marketing campaigns, ranging from a one-service campaign to five service campaigns. I managed a small group of account managers by overseeing the management of their clients and daily/weekly workload. Daily tasks involved regular calls with clients, performance checks, up-sells, client escalations, development & implementation of new strategies/web projects, and delegating tasks to other departments.

My primary responsibilities were helping and assisting smaller companies across the UK with their digital marketing strategy. This involved PPC, SEO, email, and social media marketing. I had to win the new business and also manage the account of the client. This helped me gain experience in running a small business.

Like my position in Visualsoft as an account manager, I managed several national digital client accounts, ensuring each digital marketing campaign achieved the best results possible. I also managed a small number of marketing executives to ensure each of their clients received the best possible service, and the executives did everything they could to hit targets set for each client.

My role at the beginning of this position was managing all digital client accounts, both past and present. I was responsible for finding new digital projects for ne-web, winning pitches, and generating more sales. Working at Ne-web helped me understand how to manage my clients and win new business in different sectors.

This position is where I developed a strong understanding of digital marketing and worked with many smaller local (Newcastle-based) clients. I increased the client's search rankings monthly through link building and content creation. This gave me an insight into the amount of work involved in SEO, PPC and other key digital marketing acquisitions.
