• Plan, oversee & direct State level games & tournaments for Individual Sports• Oversee & support Regional level events• Direct & oversee the running of the Area Bowling Tournaments ensuring that each event meets the required standards• Plan and coordinate sport specific coaches’ clinics & webinars for Individual Sports. Work with the Director of Sports & Competition & the Volunteer Services Manager to ensure coaches have fulfilled coach education requirements• Responsible for SOKY’s participation in the annual SO Golf NIT and the Unified Bowling NIT• Maintain a good working knowledge of GMS and CERVIS & oversee registration for individual sports/competitions• Develop & maintain Sport Advisory Teams for Individual Sports including recruitment of sport knowledgeable individuals who will work with SOKY staff to ensure a high quality sport experience is available• Maintain SOKY Sports Manuals & online sport certification trainings for all Individual Sports ensuring they are up to date on rules, best practices and relevant program information• Work with SOKY Program staff & support all state level competition events as needed, including SOKY Summer Games• Develop & maintain working relationships with appropriate NGB's and officials’ associations to increase involvement with SOKY.• Provide support & assistance to local programs for Individual Sports providing materials for rules, training and competition standards• Stay current on all rules/updates through NGB’s and SOI as they pertain to SOKY Individual Sports. Ensure compliance with all SOI rules at all levels of competition• Represent SOKY at State & National meetings and conferences where appropriate• Work with the SOKY Director of Sports & Competitions to develop annual budgets and provide articles and information for the bi-monthly SportsLine e-newsletter• Abide by SOI general rules• Communicate regularly and effectively with the Director of Sports & Competition and perform other duties when assigned

Duties/Responsibilities:• Data entry for both competitive events and special events (fundraisers).• Assist with administrative duties to include; mailings, copying, collating, sorting, etc.• Event preparation to include; on-site packets, sorting t-shirts, organizing equipment, etc.• Assist in the recruitment of Special Event participants (polar plunges, plane/truck pull events, etc.) targeting colleges, high schools and church groups.• Identify outlets for event marketing materials (and deliver).• Assist with the volunteer processing procedures.• Assist with event set-up; special events/fundraisers and competitive events.• Assist with follow-up procedures for both competitive events and for the special events

• Supervise and manage access to the intramural field during group reservations• Ensure the actions of participants, coaches and spectators are in compliance with rules of the game/activity and Recreation & Wellness policies • Maintain and ensure a safe environment for participants• Contact appropriate police/medical personnel when necessary• Maintain accurate records/forms regarding participant injury• Verify accurate score and names of officials/scorekeepers at conclusion of game/contest• Assist and conduct training sessions for Intramural Sports Officials and Scorekeepers• Inform individuals about unusual situations, broken equipment, and unsafe facility conditions• Set up and break down of fields and courts• Assist refs, umpires, and scorekeepers if needed

• Demonstrate knowledge of the rules of the game and officiate the events in an impartial and controlled manner• Operate machines and necessary equipment• Remain aware of the inherent risk of injury that competition poses to participants• Maintain and ensure a safe environment for players and other officials • Verify accurate score and sign scorebook at conclusion of game/contest
