As a professional counselor and program manager at Bay Area Womens Center (BAWC), I have over six years of experience in providing individual and group counseling to people who use and have been affected by power and control tactics, substance use disorders, anxiety, and depression. I hold a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) credential and a Batterering Intervention Treatment (BIP) specialist certification, which enable me to deliver effective and evidence-based interventions to address the root causes and consequences of these issues.My core competencies include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), reality therapy, and motivational interviewing (MI), which I use to help my clients become balanced in their lives and prepared to tackle and overcome the life events that have a negative impact on them. I am passionate about empowering my clients to achieve their goals and improve their well-being, as well as facilitating positive social change and preventing violence in the community.
