A Saturday program that children and adults with physical and, or mental disabilities attend. Various activities are held throughout this program specifically designed for them. Taught children and adults how to swim and, or basic water safety procedures. Responsibilities include:Supervise a team of Physical Education majors and volunteers. Instructed the staff with various swimming techniques to cater to each individual based on their particular disability. Safety- maintained the safety of the patrons within the pool area.

As an ABA instructor, I saw a need and an opportunity to automate the teaching of ABA as well as track the learning progress made by ABA students. With my technology background I developed the concept, designed the tool and wrote the code for ABAdroid which is in its final stages of testing. ABAdroid.com is an individual website management control system and application created to collect, analyze and track learning for children on the Autism Spectrum, as well as customize ABA techniques to children. The website serves as an administrator to the application, developed for the android.

Provide 1:2 and small group instruction base on principles of ABA to Students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum disorder between the ages of 7-10. Collect and graph data daily to measure effectiveness of instruction and determine when education interventions are necessary. Developed and implemented art projects base on teacher’s requirements.

Camp Lanowa is a summer camp based upstate New York. The children are primarily children from New York shelters and severely low income families. Caters to twenty four hour care of children. Responsibilities included: Supervised a staff of five lifeguards to teach boating, canoeing and swimming in a lake setting. Ensured all lifeguards had updated certifications and tested their life guarding skills. Set up a system in which children are accounted for when leaving or re-entering the swim or boating area. Used a skill assessments sheet to categorized children’s swimming abilities and rate of improvement. Developed evening activities for the children. Developed a system in which the children can partake in a Canoe Regatta. Checked all safety procedures and conferred it with the camp director.
