During summer 2024 I worked as a volunteer for The Music Barn festival, a local music festival raising money for a local charity. In the lead up to the festival I assisted with creating the equipment used during the festival including hand-made bars and decorations, and also helped during the build phase and set-up of the festival. During the festival I worked in the artist's green room, ensuring the artists performing were welcome and satisfied, whilst also being on hand for small tasks other workers required throughout the day, such as taking in deliveries and moving drinks from the various bars to one another. I also helped during the take down of the festival, ensuring the festival site was returned to how it was before build.

Over the summer of 2022 I worked alongside a Team Leader to deliver the NCS summer camps to school leavers aged 15 to 17. This gave me an incredible chance to develop my confidence, work with young people to make a difference, and put myself out of my comfort zone. From delivering classes on vital life skills and supporting team building activities while on residential, to producing fundraising events for local charities, this experience gave me vital leadership experience whilst also making a difference on both young people and the local community.
