Throughout the duration of this six-week program, I successfully completed an intensive course in investment finance and polished my understanding of fixed income and equity valuation, financial accounting & analysis, capital budgeting, and risk analysis. Four of the weeks consisted of an internship for a South African firm in which my team & I assessed their financials to construct a DCF model in order to value their company. The internship component also required us to perform strategic analysis and provide insights into our target company's macro environment and competitive landscape. Additionally, we created a valuation model for our capstone project, which we presented to our professors on the final day of the program.
