My name is Nick Northrup. I am currently a student at Lamar University studying Communications - Broadcasting. In high school, I enrolled in Advanced A/V Production, in which I worked on the school’s scoreboard, streaming of football games, video organization, and production. Now, I am working on furthering my skills at Lamar by working with LU Media and streaming the university's sports games through ESPN. This has allowed me to gain real, hands-on experience with the actual equipment and processes that people in the big-leagues use.In addition, I have had the opportunity to work at LUTV as the Technical Director. This was an incredibly beneficial experience, as it taught me to stay composed under pressure from many angles. I have gotten more reliable, and faster with each show, and I only aim to continue improving. I intend to become a technical director in either the sports or news broadcasting fields.I am experienced in Blackstorm, ATEM Software, Crossfire, Wirecast, Blaze Effects, Premiere Pro, and Ross Video Boards.I learn quickly, so I am always willing to pick up a new program, type of equipment or job. I have also improved my skills of adaptation to various work environments.
