Some say I was born on a forklift...Others suggest I know more about their companies freight than they do...Many have nicknamed me The Talking Encyclopaedia of Transport.My personal goal is to give Austrans' customers the best service possible and provide cost effective, and realistic solutions in the current intermodal environment within Australia.I have dedicated my life to the transport industry and make it my intention to know all about a clients needs.For many years I refused to take a title to my name; I was christened Linehaul Manager when Austrans grew substantially and major clients wondered how a person without a title could possibly be any worth. Within 2 years, I was presented with the role of Austrans Logistics Manager before taking on the position of Victorian State Manager.This role allowed me to interact with all tiers in the transport world, from the warehouse to upper level management.I have now taken a side step and moved into the Information Technology portion of the business to provide our business with a system that cannot be purchased, and was built for transport, by someone that has worked in transport their entire lives. Emerge TMS, was started while I was on annual leave 3-4 years ago, and is already providing features that major companies do not get out million dollar products. Rather than being built Financials down, Emerge is built Operations Up...I care deeply for my staff and treat them like my family; I believe in rewarding them and ensuring they know how appreciated they are as transport can be quite a "thankless" industry. This means that when staff are required to go above and beyond the call of duty, they are as ready as I am to succeed and ensure the best possible outcome for company and customer.
