In March 2000, I began my career at Euro Food Brands as an Area Manager for the HORECA division as well as driving sales nationally. I also Brand Managed a number of HORECA lines, in particular Dammann Tea, Fabri Syrup and Monbana Chocolate. My client base included Tate Catering, Good Eating Company, Elior, Harvey Nicols, SSP, John Lewis PLC., Clapham House Group, Gondola Group, Sodexho, Jaime Oliver Group and many others.In 2006 I was promoted to Operations Manager, managing a team of eighteen Sales and Service Auditors as well as a number of Sub Distributors. During this time, I was able to successfully develop my people-management skills, monitoring the progress of the eighteen people in the team, as well as managing the individual targets within their respective sales areas. At the same time, I was also maintaining my role as Brand manager for luxury products: illy Coffee, Fabri Syrup and Monbana Chocolate. This role included the negotiation of supplier relationships, full P&L responsibility for all food service lines purchased, and co-ordinating support for the illy sales force. In addition, I was also the Brand Manager for the Espressamente coffee bar concept. In this role, I was charged with seeking the right Franchisees, overseeing the store concept and maintaining the brand’s standards and vision. In my last year at Euro Food Brands, I was tasked with the development of a sister company called Mitaca. Mitaca is a vending machine dedicated purely to the service of coffee. My role here was to secure sub-distributors, and to develop the in-house coffee serve for the HORECA division. In each of my roles at Euro Food Brands, a contagious enthusiasm for the products was key, both in acting as a brand ambassador, and in motivating the sales team to reach their full potential. I was able to continuously develop my skills in strategic sales planning, and by always being brand orientated, I was able to ensure that sales targets were met and exceeded.
