I am a Senior bioengineering student with a focus on biomechanics and obtaining a mechanical engineering minor focused on mechanical design at the University of Pittsburgh. Working at ZOLL Medical allowed me to apply my knowledge and critical thinking skills to understand an industry-based environment and succeed while working in cross-functional teams. I was able to enhance my communication skills to properly interact with team members and advocate for my ideas.During my time there, I worked on the design and Validation of the LifeVest system and the associated components. This included conducting formative and summative usability evaluations, identifying key user needs, analyzing post-market data, and working in a quality management system meant to identify and reduce risks to the user of the device.
