My work was a study of the ways in which low quality 3D image data gathered from a confocal microscope could be used to enhance and locate breast cancer cells in 2D images of an artificial blood vessel. The project was largely successful, leading to a new method of cell detection harnessing the relationship between the 2D and 3D data.
