My role comprised multiple special projects focused on manufacturing and transactional continuous improvement and data visualization/automation. Some examples include:Supplier Lean Activities SupportDrive, support, and facilitate continuous improvement activities at our contract manufacturer (CM) in China. This involved project management, coaching, technical analysis, and creation and training for statistical tools. Much focus was also on creating Kanban calculators and conducting business case analysis to justify changes to external stakeholders.Manufacturing Monthly Metric Dashboards (Project Manager)Work with the manufacturing IT team to create live dashboards of top-level performance metrics. This reduces manual work previously needed for the preparation, distribution, and reporting of these metrics.Manufacturing Analytics (OEE+)Led project to create an automated calculation tool for Overall Equipment Effectiveness reporting leveraging data in our MES and Power BI. The system also automatically extracts key insights from the data to help the team drive targeted improvements, eliminate waste, and improve the metrics and factory productivity. Manufacturing Digital Twin Initiative (Project Leader)Led initiative to develop a digital twin of our manufacturing operations across the globe. This included setting up a standard documentation system to structure manufacturing line information and integration of this data in Power BI with our internal MES system.Design For Manufacturing and Assembly - DFMABrought lean to development organization by creating and teaching classes on DFMA techniquesSupply Chain Mapping/Supply Chain Risk SimulationMiscellaneous Side Projects-Lean Leader SW tool (Developer)-Surplus Equipment Tool (Developer)-Memory Allocation Tool (2014) (Developer) - created a tool to "autonomate" the memory allocation process saving the team members supporting this sourcing process 4 months per year.
