Perform daily tasks and help identify and evaluate production strategies that can increase the efficiency of larval production, culture and setting of commonly cultured species (oysters, scallops) as well as novel species. Involves quantitative skills (calculating and controlling densities, flows, nutrient concentrations, etc), chemistry (maintaining water quality), and biology (manipulating reproductive cycles, exploiting algal production cycles, etc).
