System Admin and Network Admin

Responsibilities –- Monitoring the entire department of transportation network for Pennsylvanian.- Level 1 troubleshooting of any network issues that may arise. - Familiarization with network monitoring tools such as Microsoft SCOM 2007 and 2012, Structureware, APRAS monitoring tools, and SCCM.- Working knowledge of BMC Remedy ticket system.- Responsible for generating division-wide network status updates throughout the shift. - Level 1 helpdesk support for clients throughout the network.- Using different Remote Desktop Programs in order to solve helpdesk issue that might arise.- Understanding of Active Directory / ITIMs and other account management systems. - Deep comprehension of Network functionality and TCP/IP.- Working knowledge of Microsoft Mainframe.- To maintain good communication and coordination with Verizon Business Solutions as network issues arise. - Able to work with Microsoft Office 365 and all the subsequent applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS NoteOne.- Utilization of MS SharePoint where team members are able to share documents and files necessary for job completion. - An understanding of proper escalation for issues that might arise with the network. - Maintaining of multiple websites which receive high traffic to ensure minimal downtown.

Responsibilities –- To trouble shoot issues on a Local Area Network within cell site. - To update both firmware and operating systems for different components on site. - To maintain knowledge of safely working in multiple environments, including extreme heights and all types of weather.- To maintain personal equipment for myself and for other members of my team, such as laptops and testing equipment. - To test physical layer media on-site to ensure proper signal flow. - To ensure proper migration from Windows XP to Windows 7 for technician’s laptops. - To Understand the process of signal flow on a site from mobile device to MTSO, (Mobile Telephone switching office) and back out to the mobile device. - To be familiar with onsite routers and switches.- To be aware of overhead costs and plan the daily work schedule without exceeding the predetermined budget. - To exercise site security while on site and off site in compliance with FCC regulations.- Extensive knowledge of onsite 3rd Generation and 4th Generation technology such as CDMA, PCS, GSM, LTE, and AWS.- To develop an understanding of all wireless carriers and the products they carry.- To be familiar with both multi-mode and single mode fiber.
