About Nicholas Regan

I spent my entire life in academia; learning not only facts but also skills and what makes people and things work. After getting my Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Ohio State University, I got a job as a Chemistry Professor at Ashland University. I was in a tenure track position until my son was born premature, daycare was not an option, so I gave up my career and became a stay-at-home-father. My son is all good now, and he gave me a chance to explore the world outside of academia. I have done everything from construction, to restaurant work, to designing logos for local companies and organizations. For the past 5 plus years I have been running No Rulz Art, a business built with individuals with Down syndrome and other differing abilities. I developed and maintained the website, was in charge of sales and communications, as well as ran day-to-day operations. I had to adapt processes to fit not only the client's wants, but also our own capabilities. All this without losing our mission of enriching the lives of those that work with us.With my children being older now, my thirst for knowledge and skills has driven me to Tech Elevator and to take on the challenge of becoming a developer. I am seeking a challenging job that offers the ability to expand on my foundation and gain new skills while increasing accessibility and ease of use of products and services. If you would like to learn more about me and what I can offer your business, please send me a message.
