- Used the DMAIC framework to structure our project on optimizing picking process, creating flow charts and process maps, creating a 5S plan for shop layout, participating in a Lean 8 waste walk, and creating a decision matrix for the team’s discoveries and suggestions- Overall suggestions would save around 1,300 man hours and $35,500 per year - Planned and facilitated a Kaizen Event for University of Minnesota team and Andersen Corporation team- Handed off project with a plan in place for execution post-capstone- Recieved an honorable mention for the 2024 MHI and CICMHE Student Design Competition -Award link: https://cse.umn.edu/isye/news/isye- senior-design-project-receives-honorable-mention

This role leads to many different opportunities in the Liquibox plant. - I have done extensive data mining to find the root causes to problems. - I have helped innovate/pilot test parts and processes for machines to try to make them run more efficiently.- I have performed time studies on the assembly plant floor. - I have presented to the operations team on various topics that I was given.
