Seeking a Financial Planning opportunity for Summer 2025.I am a graduate student at Liberty University studying finance and financial planning. This past spring, I was fortunate enough to be chosen as one of eight, new School of Business Graduate Assistants for the '24/25 academic year. I am a motivated, capable learner, looking for an internship opportunity Summer '25 at an investment advisory firm or broker-dealer. To show my commitment, I passed the Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) in September '24 and will be taking the Series 66 in early November.As a LU SoBusi Graduate Assistant I have overseen the running of 10 classes and course sections. Responsibilities have included; teaching classes as needed, tutoring, grading papers and case studies, responding to student requests for help, and assisting in any administrative work that is required of our doctoral staff. I am a people-person who has spent multiple summers as an assistant golf professional at a private country club in my hometown, Laconia, NH. I enjoyed building relationships with our members, getting to know them as individuals, and learning how I can apply their knowledge to my own life. At my club, I was given the opportunity to build these relationships on a consistent basis. My experience at LCC relates well to my motivation for pursuing my current degree. The idea of providing value for people and their families through teaching financial concepts and principles excites me for my future career. In addition to this role at LCC, I assisted in event planning and execution, retail sales, and daily operations. I would also give golf lessons to members and their children when the opportunity arose.Prior to enrolling at Liberty in 2022, I was given the chance to pursue my dream of playing collegiate baseball. I was granted this opportunity as a postgraduate student at Inspiration Academy in Bradenton, FL. During this time, I was also honored by a sixty-man roster to be one of our teams four, playing captains. While this season of my life was one marred by injuries, including a labral tear needing surgical repair, and other challenges, Inspiration taught me many valuable lessons that I know will be useful as I transition from college and into the workplace.
