- Developed an algorithm to analyze and extract technical information from news media- Authored “A novel search algorithm for quantifying news media coverage as a measure of environmental issue salience”, a methodology paper published in Environmental Modeling and Software (link below)- Helped design a water demand forecasting model, incorporating social and behavioral elements, work published in "Changes in water consumption linked to heavy news media coverage of extreme climatic events" in Science Advances (as seen here: www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.1700784)- Established news media as a political proxy as it relates to water policy- Used ArcPy to collect and create demographic and hydrologic data- Mined and cleaned large data sets for further statistical analysis and model application- Worked with BAWSCA and Redwood City to address their current needs and interests regarding issues relating to water consumption and helping understand contributions made by AMI

- Developed an algorithm to process climate data in order to classify, analyze, and predict changes in various weather patterns in Central America to aid local farmers and municipalities adjusting to regional climate change- Analyzed climate model data representing 60 years of daily precipitation across 800 different locations, using 15 different models- Coauthored “Projected 21st-century changes in the Central American mid-summer drought using statistically 2 downscaled CMIP5 projections” published in Regional Environmental Change- Presented results of this research at AGU Conference, San Francisco, December 2015

- Designed a restored and stabilized reach of Stevens Creek using geomorphic considerations in collaboration with Santa Clara Valley Water District- Developed HEC-RAS models for geomorphic analysis- Balanced design for flood control, boulder sizing, fish regulations while navigating congested and highly populated areas and developments

- Designed a portion of Crestmoor neighborhood, earning National APWA Project of the Year Award- Researched and compiled reports including City of Hillsborough Storm Drain Master Plan
