As a contracting officer in the United States Marine Corps, I oversee the procurement of goods and services for various military operations and programs. I apply my knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), financial analysis, and operational planning to ensure compliance, efficiency, and quality in the contracting process. I also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as vendors, program managers, and auditors, to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and monitor performance.I have over 20 years of experience in the Marine Corps, where I have developed strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. I have worked in various levels of supply chain management, warehousing, and accounting, handling complex and sensitive logistics and financial tasks. I am currently pursuing an MBA in acquisitions and contract management at the Naval Postgraduate School, where I have earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. I am also the founder and owner of Bells Old Glory Shop, a woodworking business that honors a fallen friend and supports veteran non-profits. I am passionate about serving my country, my community, and my fellow veterans.
