On behalf of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) and the STSB:Members of the Swiss National Airproxboard were selected experts of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA), the Swiss Transport Safety Investigation Board (STSB), Skyguide Civil and Military Air Traffic Control , the Swiss Air Force, Swiss International Airlines, Easyjet, Swiss Civil Air Ambulance, Aeroclub of Switzerland (AeCS) and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). They evaluated incidents and accidents that occurred within Switzerland on behalf of the Swiss Government in order to learn from the incidents and to implement measures to improve Safety Standards in the Future.The Airproxboard was organized by the FOCA, the STSB (former AAIB) and again by the FOCA during the years 1998-2009.

On behalf of the Swiss Transport Safety Investigation Board (STSB):The drafts of severe aviation related Incidents investigated by the STSB - Swiss Transport Safety Investigation Board (former AAIB) were discussed in a Board consisting of the parties involved.

In cooperation with Swissair and Swiss:Familiarization flights on Swissair / Swiss DC-8s, DC-9s, DC-10s, B.747s and A.320s to discuss operational and safety issues between Pilots and Air Traffic Control personnel.

Lessons included examples of Incidents that led to separation minimum Infringements and other incidents. The course was meant to give a platform to both pilots and Air Traffic Control to give their inputs to improve safety standards.
