Overview:- Leadership program at Nielsen dedicated to training the next generation of business leaders.- Program provides training in project and program management and is geared toward development of those skills.Rotation 1 (August 2013 to January 2014):- Worked as a technical project manager on the release of Report Builder, a new front-end for Nielsen's Answers on Demand, to syndicated clients.- Responsible for scheduling and driving data migrations as well as assisting in technical stand-up, change management, and business validation activities. Work included: - Managing deadlines and issue resolution on the data migrations. - Working with systems architects and developers to estimate execution time for the data migration utilities and schedule migrations. - Working with stakeholders to identify, document, and resolve defects found during business validation of Report Builder.- Side Project: Helped design an e-library for Nielsen's Nielsen Neuro division in order to better hold their neurological studies and scale the business.Rotation 2 (February 2014 to July 2014):- Primarily responsible for program managing the release of new software designed to optimize data intake for Nielsen's print media reporting business in Mexico (a joint venture with IBOPE). This responsibility required business communication, including technical details, in Spanish.- Also assisted with planning for the rollout of a new back-end data management system for the joint venture.- Analyzed all incident tickets filed in the last year in the Nielsen's International Ad Information Service group, which supports software, like Nielsen's AdDynamix, for international advertisement exposure reporting. - Developed Business Requirements and Functional Designs – and generally supported the release of – the Web Framework of Nielsen’s Answers on Demand system.- As a side project, programmed a Javascript utility to parse XML for Nielsen’s Helpdesk. This utility is estimated to save Nielsen approximately 1,750 man-hours a year ($61,250 with $35/hr pay).- Was trained in the basics of Business Process Improvement (Six Sigma) during the course of the internship.

- Worked on Performance Testing for components of Compuware’s Gomez, a java/.NET performance monitoring system.- Created a useful Perl utility (for a Windows 2008 R2 server environment) simulating one part of the product for the purpose of testing another part of the product. Was adopted for use in numerous tasks within the QA department after my departure.- Created a C++ Program (for a Linux environment) automating a performance test for a component of the product. The program significantly simplifies the process of starting a test and also features a user interface that makes the entire process easier for a person new to performance testing to understand and use.

-Responsible for directly supervising up to twelve lifeguards at a time, teaching lifeguard training classes, recertifying current lifeguards, interacting with patrons, and completing administrative duties.-Assisted in planning for major events at the park (such as the six-city swim finals), helped conduct interviews of potential employees, updated lifeguard staff procedures, and worked together with peers and the pool supervisor to collectively manage a staff of 39 people.
