About Nicholas Schmidt
I help businesses to navigate data privacy regulations and cybersecurity incidents in ways which minimize disruption to their business while fulfilling their legal compliance responsibilities and protecting the rights of ordinary people over their personal information. My practice balances proactive compliance work with incident response work and I have a past client list which includes a variety of professional firms, small and midsize businesses, hospital systems, startups, major universities, government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies. Before going to law school, I worked as a software engineer and have hands-on experience with a number of emerging technologies, including the internet of things and data mining, as well as project and program management.
