I collaborated with another student to perform a study on the emergency call box locations on university grounds. We performed research to determine performance measures, designed an integer program to find solutions, and used an exact algorithm for small data sets and an approximation algorithm for large data sets to solve a minimum connected set cover problem. I implemented image data preprocessing in Java, the AMPL integer program, and the approximation algorithm.

I worked on a senior capstone team to develop software using an Agile approach for NASA’s Psyche Mission. We communicated with project stakeholders to design and implement a software tool in Python to map images onto a 3D wireframe of an object. I was involved in designing and implementing a ray tracing algorithm, designing automated tests for the software tool, and documenting the software tool. Our tool utilized NASA’s SPICE kernel to obtain satellite, camera, and asteroid telemetry to calculate the polyline describing the polygons of the 3D wireframe that the image captures. This tool is used by scientists to quickly find all images that have photographed the same area of an irregularly shaped, non-spherical object.

Assisted customers, picked up and received donations, trained volunteers, and organized projects to improve the Tempe ReStore location.

Answered phones in a fast-paced call center handling maintenance requests for 100+ different companies with 1000’s of locations nationwide. Responsible for providing excellent point of contact customer service, following unique procedures for different clients, and handling many different requests at once.
