Post-doctoral researcher at the University of Utah responsible for the synthesis of novel insulin-like peptides for the treatment of diabetes.PhD in medicinal chemistry, completed at The University of Adelaide, with over 7 years of experience in the field of drug discovery. My thesis research involved the development of small molecules which target proteins essential for the growth and virulence of pathogenic microbes. I have strong communication skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and collaborations relevant to the synthesis and biochemical characterization of small molecule drug leads, as demonstrated by 5 international and interdisciplinary collaborations. 2020 Fulbright Future Scholarship Holder. Undertook Research at Utah Valley Research under the supervision of Assistant Professor Nathan Goldfarb involving the expression, purification and co-crystallization of Hip1 (a novel protease associated with the virulence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis) with a small molecule inhibitor.
