Developed and launched two pet related businesses. A dog grooming salon and a manufacturer and retailer of healthy pet treats. At the end of 2021 I exited the dog grooming business, selling my share to my partner in order to focus my efforts on the growth of the pet treat business.The treat business's focus was on exploiting a niche in the Melbourne/Victoria market for healthy pet treats that were made using locally sourced ingredients without the use of preservatives or additives. A sector of the market which was significantly underserved.My involvement in the business was end-to-end, from the development of strategy and business plans, to the creation of the product mix, product design, sourcing as well as marketing and sales.Since launch we have grown sales of the pet treat business on average 50% month on month using farmers markets to increase brand awareness and drive sales to the online store we developed and launched, as well as securing key wholesale listings with local cafes and small shops.I am exiting the business as I am returning to the UK for personal reasons but I believe the business will continue to grow and flourish.
