Nick has worked for four years in the energy production field as a Mechanical Engineer for American Electric Power. His current role involves monitoring combustion turbine operating health, creating outage work scopes for planned turbine maintenance, technical oversight during turbine outage work and assisting with major project budgeting.

Engineer Intern
Worked as an engineer intern over two summer rotations with American Electric Power. The first rotation was at the main headquarters in Columbus, Ohio where Nicholas was apart of the Balance of Plant engineering group and worked on various plants thermal efficiency equipment and operating procedures. The second rotation was at a combined cycle power plant in Shreveport, Louisiana where Nicholas was apart of the Regional Engineering group. While apart of this group he worked on testing the performance of various plants service equipment, took vibration measurements and performed natural gas leak scans on to verify equipment health and safety and he assisted with the chemical cleanings of two natural gas boilers.
