In this position, I am primarily responsible for writing, editing, and building rental property listings for the purpose of online marketing. The name of the game here is simplicity and variety, specifically for search engine optimization. The work requires me to be self-motivated and to produce and edit effective and consistent listings for our clients. In addition to my background in grammar, spelling, and punctuation, I use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, search engines, and a ghosting calculator on a daily basis.

This position entails the planning and execution of my own classes in freshmen English composition. I have had to schedule reading and assignment sequences, design writing assignments, conductclassroom discussions, lectures, and editing workshops, grade students papers, and provide additional instructor services to college freshmen. Concepts covered include reading, writing, critical thinking,cultural critique, rhetorical analysis, and basic communication skills to prepare freshmen for upper-level college courses, as well as their professional, social, and civic lives. For my own benefit, this job has taught me new levels of communication and leadership.

In this position, I was responsible for all food and beverage on site at The Club at Town Center, Somersett. This included snacks and drinks sold at the front desk, lunches for summer camp, deli items in the poolside snack bar, as well as food provided during special events and activities. In this position, I also oversaw all beer, wine, and spirits provided by the club. I made bi-weekly shopping trips to restock food and drink, managed the snack bar staff, aided in preparing special events, and occasionally tended a full bar. Overall, the position was an invaluable experience in food and beverage both behind the scenes and on the front lines.

To contribute to the resort-like atmosphere of The Club at Town Center, my responsibilities included checking in members to the club, answering phones to direct member questions and to take reservations and payments, maintaining fitness towel cleanliness and inventory, processing new members, and closing down and locking up the facility. During special events, I engaged with resident members, performing a socially-oriented service role, most often serving beer, wine, and cocktails.
