As of December 2018, I successfully completed my Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth. I have over a year of experience working in R&D and manufacturing. Over the summers of 2016, 2017, and 2018, I interned at the world's largest outsourced medical device manufacturer, Integer. Now out of college, I have accepted a starting position as a process engineer at Abbott working alongside a talented workstaff in the structural heart department.During my last semester of college, my research included developing new molding processes for organic thermoplastic materials. Also, my senior design team and I are developed and prototyped a new product that can reduce and elimate the harmful effects of light pollution. Over my last three summers at Integer, I was fortunate enough to intern in manufacturing and R&D. They have taught me many of the ins and outs of this complex but rewarding field. We developed many remarkable products including catheters, introducers, and neurostimulation leads.Fellow coworkers and colleagues know me as an extremely positive, passiononate, and hardworking engineer who gets the job done. I love working with different types of people since I am not an expert at everything and love learning new ideas from others. In order for a team to succeed, everyone must be able to express their unique creativities since we all have different ways of looking at the solution.One thing I can say is that hard work really pays off and I look forward to my new career in medical devices.
