• Designed several screw configurations, such as the small lot color concentrate screw currently operational on three lines, and a specialized 'soft screw' for metallic flake color concentrate applications essential to production. Additionally, developed a comprehensive screw design database to track all design changes and new developments.• Led a rate improvement project on large compounding and color concentrate lines, including barrel and screw changes, replacement, and process changes maximizing rates on three lines resulted in a hourly average rate increase of 17% over the last 2.5 years with an average increase of 1.2M lbs./year.• Led the development and implementation of a mixer scale project now operational across three production lines. Managed the project from conception to installation, overseeing implementation and conducting training for assistant operators. Specifically aiding in the following: • Provided onsite customer support as a technical expert for multiple refinery startups, traveling 100% of the time to locations worldwide. • Established emergency procedures for a customer avoiding potential runaway situations and saving the customer money associated with catalyst cycle length. • Successfully started up multiple hydrotreating and hydrocracking units, dealing with high pressure situations and tight deadlines. • Performed instrumentation/loop checks and the startup for a cryogenic separation unit. • Executed mechanical inspections of reactor internals impacted by unexpected natural disasters resulting in an extremely tight deadline. • Experience with writing internal and external technical reports, documenting the specific events that occurred during the unit's startup. • Having an extremely flexible schedule, traveling 100% of the time from one refinery or gas processing startup to the next. • Remote monitoring of multiple units through a new Honeywell UOP offering known as connected performance services, CPS. Project Design Engineer:Performed the basic engineering design for refinery equipment; hydraulics, vessels, heat exchangers, pumps/compressors, utilities, etc.Hydroprocessing R&D:Operated and created procedures for hydroprocessing pilot plants. Experience working with PI interface, along with troubleshooting and optimizing excel based tools tasked with pulling pilot plant data. Also, I developed advanced module training for midlevel pilot plant operators to both assess their knowledge and aid in their career development. Technology Services, Hydroprocessing:Analyzed customer data and made recommendations on unit operations. Also created excel databases for analyzing customer data utilizing VBA.

I was the lead role on a 5S project for a piece of equipment that re-cut and re-wound paper roles to the correct size. The main focus of this project was to improve productivity by sorting and standardizing necessary tools and tool locations, providing the proper tools for the job and giving those tools a set location. Also creating a work space that allowed proper filing of paper work and increased desk space to fill out this paper work at the unit's location. Lastly, the unit was repainted and a cleaning schedule was established to keep the area neat and ultimately aid in increased unit productivity.

OcuGlass, LLC was opened up approximately 8 months prior to my arrival as a chemical engineer intern and I was tasked with working along side a chemist to develop two product lines, Anti-reflective and Non-glare glass. Also at OcuGlass, LLC I established specific safety procedures for handling extremely corrosive, dangerous, and highly concentrated acids.
