Hi, I’m Nicholas Thong. I’m currently pursuing a career in business and financing. I currently work at Paul C. Chen Accountancy Corporation as a Junior Staff Accountant. I’ve been employed there since August of 2023. Since then, I’ve learned various things such as doing bookkeeping for clients as well as simple tax returns. Prior to that, I worked in food service at Papa Murphy’s and in retail at Kohl’s for two months beginning the week I graduated high school.I eventually plan on working a full-time job wherever I can, but I’m hoping to find an office job as that seems where I’d be best suited. I’ve been considering a job in financing or accounting because I excel in math and I think I’d be good at the work.When I was in high school, I attended the Center for Advanced Research and Technology where I learned general work ethics and behavior in my cybersecurity lab. In CART, I worked in teams several times on projects and presentations that we would then present to the class. Working with these teams and presenting these presentations really helped to build my communication and collaborative skills as well as my work ethic.
