-Taught and developed graduate and undergraduate classes on Digital Manufacturing by exploring the topics of Shop Safety, Blueprint Reading, Geometric and Dimensional Tolerancing (GD&T), Inspection Methods, Quality Control Metrics, Workholding, Cutting Tool Technologies (Sandvick Coromant), Manual G-Code Programming, Conversational Programing (ShopMill, Siemens), Computer Aided Design (CAD, SolidWorks), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM, MasterCam), and 5-Axis CNC Machining (DMU-50, DMG MORI)-Cultivated partnerships with DMG MORI, Siemens, and Sandvik Coromant to integrate their proprietary systems, software, and technologies at an educational level. Additionally, maintained proficiency with the above topics by actively attending and completing training provided by these organizations.

-Taught accelerated classes on Computer Aided Design (CAD, SolidWorks) that covered 2D Drawing, 3D Modeling, Import/Export/Repair of 2D and 3D Files, Mold and Cavity Creation, Sheet Metal Conversion, and Surfacing. Elgin, IL-Helped develop the college’s course curriculum for the Industrial and Manufacturing Technology department as a member of the Engineering Advisory Committee.

-Created, managed, and updated thousands of design files, drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks and SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM).- Developed accurate Finite Element Analysis (FEA) studies using SolidWorks Simulation to comply with government standards (J2530, SFI 15.1, and 15.2) set forth by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).-Fabricated photorealistic renders and animations of new and existing products for print, web, and conception using SolidWorks’ PhotoView 360 and Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.-Utilized 3D scanning and 3D printing technologies to rapidly reverse engineer and prototype new products.-Generated consumer literature, manufacturing information, and application calculators on new and existing products for sales, marketing, engineering, and machining departments.-Catalogued the product line and physically measured critical dimensions to be integrated as the backend database of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System for inventory forecasting, material limitations, and supplier variance.-Worked side-by-side with the Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Department to design parts that fit within machining constraints and available tooling libraries; designed custom tooling when needed.-Contributed ideas and strategies for brand direction as a key member on several of the organization’s cross-functional teams.-Communicated domestically and internationally with both customers and suppliers alike to fulfill orders and approve projects.
